Our proprietary technology and dedicated office team handle order management, scheduling coordination, client communication, invoicing, billing, and payment tracking, allowing you to focus on inspections, market analysis, and producing quality appraisal reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct residential property inspections, including measurements, sketches, photographs, and detailed property observations.

• Research and analyze comparable sales, market trends, and factors affecting property value.

• Develop credible opinions of value and prepare accurate, well-supported appraisal reports.

• Complete assignments using TOTAL by a la mode and our proprietary ATLAS workflow platform.

• Maintain compliance with USPAP, applicable state regulations, and client-specific requirements.

• Coordinate with our administrative team to ensure assignments are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Maintain professional standards and consistently deliver high-quality work.

Requirements

• Active Certified Residential Appraiser credential in Virginia, North Carolina, and/or West Virginia.

• Experience with Total/Alamode software and MLS platforms

• Valid Virginia driver’s license and insured, reliable vehicle (for local inspectors)

• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Willingness to sign a non-compete and non-solicitation agreement

• Ability to deliver timely, high-quality appraisal reports

Part-Time Real Estate Property Data Collector/Field Inspector

Job Type: Part-Time, Independent Contractor (1099)

Coverage Area: Multiple markets throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia, including Northern Virginia, Shenandoah Valley, Greater Piedmont, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Richmond, Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach and surrounding markets.

Rapidly growing residential real estate appraisal company is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Part-Time Field Inspectors. This flexible, contract-based position is ideal for individuals who enjoy driving, photography, and working independently while collecting property data for real estate appraisals.

As a Field Inspector/Data Collector, you will visit residential properties to collect and document key information used in the appraisal process. This includes taking high-quality photos, conducting basic measurements/sketches, and professionally interacting with homeowners. You will work independently but maintain clear communication with our office staff. On-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to residential properties throughout the assigned coverage area

• Perform onsite property inspections including interior/exterior photos and basic sketching

• Accurately collect and report detailed property data

• Represent the company professionally when interacting with homeowners and clients

• Submit all required data and documentation promptly

Typical Work Hours:

• Inspections are generally scheduled between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday

• Flexibility is essential, but availability during these hours is strongly preferred

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated and able to work independently

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Professional, courteous demeanor with strong communication skills

• Ability to learn and use mobile applications and real estate software

• Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and proof of insurance

• iPhone required for inspection software compatibility

• Must pass a background check

Compensation:

This is a contract position with compensation paid per completed inspection.
Rates typically range from $35 to $100+ per inspection, depending on the complexity and location. The number of inspections will vary based on seasonal demand and overall order volume.
